The Electronic Frontiers Forum track at Dragon Con is proud to announce that 2024 marks our 25th Anniversary! Starting as a full track in 1999, and before that as a single hacking panel in 1997 and 1998, we have for 25 years been your best local resource for information security, privacy, and your
rights online.

Originally inspired by the Association for Computing Machinery's "Computers, Freedom, and Privacy Conference", Electronic Frontiers Forum at Dragon Con covers legal issues, societal issues, and civil liberties, both online and anywhere technology is present. We examine the intersection of technology, law, activism, and society, and how they fit within the framework of a democratic society. We endeavor to bring together the best minds in law, technology, and advocacy to map out our shared future, while highlighting the risks and promises of technological progress.

Major themes for 2024 will include the risks and regulation of artificial intelligence (AI), the role of privately funded technology in policing, neurotechnology and associated privacy issues, evolving privacy and technology practices, and recent developments in cryptography. Topics we plan to cover this year include AI and deepfakes, California's Delete Act, Neuralink's first human subject, continued efforts to reform civil asset forfeiture, opting out of vehicle telematics, employment non-compete clauses, insurance rates and data brokers, the recently announced Atlanta Police Foundation lawsuit, the federal government's TikTok ban, and many others. Returning favorites include Hacking 101 and 201, and also Webcomics.
